Oklahoma Ward’s much-praised "CRAWL OR DIE" is to receive its UK TV premiere on Horror Channel on Fri 17 July, 10.55pm. The indie alien-monster shocker, starring Nicole Alonso as the unstoppable ‘Tank’, takes claustrophobia to new heights and depths in its futuristic depiction of a rescue mission through a maze of ever-shrinking tunnels.
Earth as we know it is gone. A virus has destroyed the planet and rendered all its women infertile, all but one. An elite team of soldiers are tasked with bringing the woman to safety on the newly habitable Earth Two. But when they are forced underground they find themselves fighting for survival from a bloodthirsty creature in a maze of ever shrinking tunnels. As the team's ranks start to dwindle and the ammunition run out, the crawl for survival becomes acutely desperate. Nicole Alonso gives a terrific performance as Tank, a Mohawk sporting uber-babe, who would give any male action hero a run for their money.
There are also deserved UK TV premieres for Drew Daywalt’s hilariously gruesome "RED CLOVER" (2012), starring Billy Zane and featuring the most vicious leprechaun killer ever invented (Fri 10 July, 9.00pm), homegrown horror "THE HIKE" (2013), a harrowing trip through enemy-infested countryside, directed by Rupert Bryan, starring Barbara Nedeljakova and Shauna McDonald. (Fri 24 July, 10.45pm) and "EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE" (2013), a visually compelling remake of the 1995 film, directed by Carl Bessai.(Fri 3 July, 9,00pm)
