With the 33rd Raindance film festival just a couple of weeks away (running 18-27 June at Vue Piccadilly), The organisers got in touch to tell us about their dedicated "Raindance Horror" strand, showcasing cutting-edge genre films and celebrating emerging voices in independent horror cinema.
Commencing with US slasher DEFORMELODY: AN AMERICAN NIGHTMARE on Thursday 19 June, horror will continue to reign over Raindance throughout the whole weekend with films such as British horror thriller DIRTY BOY, interactive audience-choice film THE RUN, and international entries such as Bangladesh's DUI SHAW, Kazakhstan's ZHAZA, Japans's THE INVISIBLE HALF, and Slovenia's THE HOLE. The selection underscores Raindance's embrace of diverse and daring storytelling.
As it's quite an abundant list, Raindance is selling a "All The Horror Films" weekend pass for £75 which gives access to every horror film screening at Raindance. Conveniently, all the "Raindance Horror" films will screen over the weekend of Thursday 19 - Sunday 22 June, so horror-fans can spend a full weekend at Raindance.
