What happened to the Realm of Horror website?

If you've reached this blog through the URL http://www.realmofhorror.co.uk then you are probably wondering what happened to the old review website that it used to point to.

Well, the short answer is, I've had to discontinue it.

Unfortunately, I'd been struggling to find time to keep it updated for quite a while now. This, combined with the fact that it no longer generated anywhere near the same amount of traffic it used to, meant that keeping it updated was becoming increasingly pointless.

The final nail in the coffin, was that my hosting providers were becoming very unreliable. So I was going to have to move everything to a new host, if I wanted to keep it online.

Given the amount of time, effort and expense needed to do this and keep it maintained, I just felt this wouldn't be worthwhile endevour.

This is not a decision I've taken lightly, given that my website has been around in one form or another since 1999. But the internet is a very different place now, and interest in these old school review sites just isn't there any more.

So, with this in mind, I've retired the old website and pointed the domian name towards the News Blog here, which I will continue to keep updated with UK centric horror news and info, along with my social media channels.

I'll also continue to post video reviews to my YouTube and Rumble channels, so be sure to check those out.

Thankyou to all my loyal visitors over they years, be sure to check out my other outlers.

Found footage horror series THE CREEP TAPES SERIES 2 - On UK BD, June

Spawned from the brilliantly macabre minds of Patrick Brice (The Overnight) and Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed, The Morning Show) – the creators and stars of innovative found-footage horror films Creep and Creep 2 – comes the critically acclaimed THE CREEP TAPES SERIES 2

Peachfuzz is back and even ‘more evil and unpredictable than before’ (Bloody Disgusting), with six new truly terrifying tapes of torture and chaos, upping the ante as we draw back the curtain on our favourite lupine killer once more.

THE CREEP TAPES SERIES 2 is set to arrive on Blu-ray on 1 June 2026, courtesy of Acorn Media International. All episodes are available to download and keep on digital now.

In true Creep style, each instalment finds a new victim to add to the tape collection of the devious and deranged murderer Peachfuzz (Duplass). The psychopath and his alter ego play with their prey in the most bizarre ways, revealing one supremely odd killer who relishes the awkwardness and terror of his unsuspecting victims.

The new series kicks off with an ingenious guest appearance that sees David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) play copycat killer Joseph, who flips the script on the real Josef (Duplass) re-enacting moments from the original Creep tape, which he found on the dark web.

In episode two, we meet Wes (Diego Josef – The Ballad of Lefty Brown), who is shooting a TV pilot hosted by the utterly strange ‘realtor’ Trip Engold (Duplass). When Wes’ professionalism is called into question and tensions between the pair flare, police intervene, putting a spanner in the works of Peachfuzz’s killing spree.

Inspired by Saw and Dexter, the third episode introduces Mark (Robert Longstreet – Midnight Mass), who wakes up in an elaborate underground escape room chained to another man (Duplass) and is forced to solve a series of puzzles.

Episode four sees filmmaker Ava believe she’s found the new Tiger King after meeting eccentric vegan David (Duplass) at an animal sanctuary. Hoping to create a salacious documentary, she interrogates her subject trying to unpack his trauma, but the malevolent murderer has other plans.

It’s time for festive fear in episode five as Nick (Timm Sharp – Enlightened) is confronted by his new therapist's (Duplass) odd behaviour and experimental techniques – including Santa Claus roleplay and spiked soy nog – during an emergency session on Christmas Eve.

Katie Aselton (The Freebie) reprises her Creep role as Josef’s sister Angela in the series two finale as we are given more backstory on the unsettling upbringing of our unhinged killer and his equally disturbed sibling.

Press play on THE CREEP TAPES SERIES 2 for another boundary pushing addition to the Creep franchise, diving deeper into the fractured mind of the man beneath the wolf mask with more murder and mayhem than ever before.

SPECIAL FEATURES include:
- Commentary by Mark Duplass, Patrick Brice and Chris Donlon

British multiverse horror-thriller FOLLOW THE DARK - Launching Kickstarter for Final Stage Completion

British multiverse horror-thriller FOLLOW THE DARK from writer Nathan Shane Miller (Surviving Confession, A Clear View) and Director Matthew Tibbenham (Sinister, Directive 8020, Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom), is nearing completition and the producers are launching a Kickstarter to help

Starring James Cosmo (Game of Thrones, Braveheart, Trainspotting), Arifin Putra (The Raid 2), and Hannah Al Rashid (The Night Comes for Us), the film follows Ari, a grief-stricken detective who uncovers an ancient subterranean chamber capable of opening pathways to parallel universes.

Now over 90% complete, the film is entering its final production phase, with pick-up photography and post-production enhancements underway. The upcoming Kickstarter campaign has been structured as a strategic pre-launch initiative, offering early access and bonus materials to audiences while expanding awareness ahead of release.

Synopsis:
When a respected archaeologist is arrested for attempting to destroy his own excavation site, grieving Detective Ari Hasan uncovers an ancient subterranean chamber containing a mirror said to open pathways to parallel worlds — realities in which your greatest regret never occurred.

Still raw from the loss of his son, Doni, and the distance that grief has carved between him and his wife, Zara, Ari crosses the threshold. Inside, he awakens in a vast liminal labyrinth governed by a single rule: only darkness reveals the path forward. Hidden doorways to the next chamber materialise when the lights go out — but so does something else. A terrifying entity known as the Guardian hunts those who linger too long in the shadows.

Woven through Ari's descent is a quieter, parallel thread — moments following Zara and Doni in a life untouched by profound sadness. As both stories deepen, each reframes the other.

FOLLOW THE DARK is an elevated cerebral horror film about the seductive danger of hope and the terrifying cost of refusing to let go.

For more info on the film and details of how to get invloved with the crowdfunding, visit the film's Kickstarter Page

Award-winning new play THE HORRORS OF HELL HOUSE - At Bridge House Theatre, London

Internationally acclaimed theatre company Facsimile Productions are set to present Tim Connery’s award-winning new play THE HORRORS OF HELL HOUSE at South London's Bridge House Theatre from 5 to 23 May 2026. This theatrical event is a collaboration between the creative forces of Facsimile Productions, The Bridge House Theatre, and Stage D'Or Productions.

Set in May 1970, the play follows four actors and a director who retreat to the remote English manor house of Hellenic House to rehearse a new Hammer-style horror film. What begins as an eccentric and atmospheric creative retreat soon spirals into something far darker, as occult rituals, strange disturbances and unsettling forces begin to blur the line between performance and reality. The script is a darkly comic, unsettling and affectionate homage to 1970s British horror, with genuine occult trappings, period film and television in-jokes, and a sense of mounting dread that grows with every scene.

Artistic Director Andrew Hobbs said: “Tim Connery has written a brilliant piece of theatre that is both wickedly funny and genuinely unnerving. THE HORRORS OF HELL HOUSE captures both the absurdity and genuine fright of 1970s horror with real theatrical flair. The script truly deserves the awards and accolades it has garnered so far. It is exactly the kind of intelligent, atmospheric and entertaining new writing that we are proud to bring to the Bridge House Theatre.”

Julia Thurston, who plays Stella, said: “Stella arrives as the outsider in this strange world, and what makes her so compelling is the way the house and the people in it begin to change her. Her logic really grounds her through the scary supernatural situations in the play. In that way she serves as the audience’s window into this world as the character who tries to make sense of it all through reason and science. The play is full of dark humour, tension and real chills, but it also gives Stella a real emotional journey. It is thrilling to perform something that is both deliciously eerie and unexpectedly moving.”

Facsimile Productions, best known for its acclaimed British Touring Shakespeare brand, has delighted audiences for over 25 years with vibrant, accessible productions of both classic and contemporary work. In 2020, the company was the first to return to live open-air theatre during the recovery from the pandemic, and has since continued to champion bold, high-quality productions enjoyed by thousands of theatregoers over the years.

Tickets for THE HORRORS OF HELL HOUSE at The Bridge House Theatre from 5 to 23 May 2026 can be purchased at: https://thebridgehousetheatre.co.uk/shows/hell-house/

Erin Brown stars in VIDEO VIXEN - Exclusively on BloodStream, May

BloodStream, the horror, thriller, and sci-fi streaming platform built by genre fans and creators, will exclusively premiere VIDEO VIXEN, the provocative new slasher from Erin Brown and Victor Bonacore, on May 1, 2026. Studio Dome has acquired exclusive rights to the film, with a wider streaming rollout to follow after August 1, 2026.

A bold collision of erotic underground cinema and contemporary influencer culture, VIDEO VIXEN marks a major return for Brown, the iconic horror performer known to audiences worldwide as Misty Mundae. With hundreds of credits spanning cult, erotic, and mainstream horror since the late 1990s, Brown now steps fully into her role as a filmmaker, producing and starring in one of her most confrontational works to date.

In VIDEO VIXEN, Brown plays Kitty Video, an online performer who, alongside her partner Cam, produces staged “snuff-style” fetish content for a loyal online audience. Their work thrives on illusion. But when their quiet town of Silver Springs is overrun by attention-hungry influencers chasing viral fame, Kitty decides illusion is no longer enough. As the holiday season descends, performance turns to obsession. The violence escalates. The camera never stops rolling.

What begins as manufactured depravity becomes something far more dangerous as Kitty blurs the boundary between fiction and reality, spectacle and truth. And as the body count rises, one question lingers: when everything is content, does anyone care if it’s real?

Co-producer and lead actress Erin Brown says she is "Intoxicated by the notion of our movies being injected into the BloodStream. I hope it's contagious". Director Victor Bonacore adds, "Ecstatic to have my streaming cherry popped with BloodStream, it's an honor to be chosen by one of the new platforms of indie horror and beyond. My films have never streamed before, and this has been the perfect place to land".

BloodStream Acquisitions and Programming Curator Heidi Honeycutt says, "I have been a fan of Erin Brown for as long as I can remember. She’s directed and produced her own films throughout the years, and she has a stunningly original, raw voice. I am so excited that she is a creative force behind her new films and is making the kind of horror she wants to see. I’m absolutely honored that BloodStream is releasing this film".

Launched in late 2025, BloodStream was created as a dedicated home for genre storytelling, bringing together cult classics, international discoveries, festival favorites, and bold independent voices in one curated destination. The platform now features a rapidly expanding library of more than 2,000 titles, available through both free ad-supported and ad-free subscription tiers across major devices and browsers.
