Signature's FrightFest 2019 Slate

Signature Entertainment proudly announces 10 films for FrightFest 2019 which takes place in London from 22th – 26th August at Cineworld Leicester Square and The Prince Charles Cinema.

The impressive spread of scarers includes 5 Signature Entertainment releases and 5 titles Signature will release under the FrightFest Presents (“FFP”) banner in conjunction with the festival’s team. Before those releases, all the films can be seen first at the festival. These include the inventive and gory Opening Film ‘Come to Daddy’ starring Elijah Wood and powerful Closing Film ‘A Good Woman Is Hard to Find’ which is a brilliant and shocking revenge thriller. Other significant actors in the line-up include Alice Lowe (Prevenge) in ‘Dark Encounter’, Luke Goss (Blade II) in ‘Extracurricular’ and Eddie Marsan (The World’s End) in ‘Feedback’. 

Expect suspense, terror and stand-out performances from the best new genre features around. More details for all 10 films below. See you there! 

22nd August, 6pm at Cineworld Leicester Square (OPENING FILM) 

UK PREMIERE. Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) stars in this offbeat dark comedy from the writer of The Greasy Strangler. After thirty years of no contact, Norval (Wood) visits his estranged father (Stephen McHattie) at his  remote cabin by the sea. He quickly discovers that not only is his dad a disapproving alcoholic, he also has a shady past that is rushing to catch up with him. Also starring Martin Donovan and Michael Smiley.

UK PREMIERE. Eddie Marsan (The World’s End) stars in this nail-biting thriller from the producers of REC and The Shallows. Jarvis Dolan (Marsan) is the host of ‘The Grim Reality’, a successful late-night radio show. When two armed masked men burst in and hold the entire studio hostage, they want Jarvis to confess to a scandal that could ruin his career. However, he has no clue what they are talking about. And when the murdering stars, he finally discovers what his grim reality truly means. Also starring Paul Anderson and Ivana Baquero.
