If you're looking to complete your collection of video nasty titles, you'll be pleased to hear that distributors 88 Films are re-issuing the old UK nasty "Unhinged" to DVD here in the UK.
Banned on video back in the 80s, this exploitation slasher follows three college girls stranded in their car during a rainstorm. They seek help from the inhabitants of a spooky Victorian mansion - the psychotic Mrs Penrose and her evil family. The girls discover that the family have a dark secret and then a killer is on the loose, hacking people up.
Cheerfully ripping off "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Psycho" and "Last House on the Left", UK horror fans previously had the choice of a bare bones UK disc or the US release, which contained an old TV interview and a commentary track by a group of people who had nothing to do with the film.
This release from 88 contains a brand new audio commentary track from director Donald Gronquist, the theatrical trailer, plus it gives you the option of watching the film in the original "open matte" 4:3 filmed format, or in its matted/cropped 16:9 widescreen ratio.
The film is released to UK disc October 13th
