Joelle Rae (The Witcher) and Emrhys Cooper (Nosferatu) star in new psychological horror and sci-fi thriller THE NICE ONES, coming to UK cinemas from 19th November.
The film will also be available on streaming services in North America & other territories from 29th September.
The Nice Ones follows a group of friends whose countryside Airbnb getaway takes a terrifying turn when Kate witnesses strange lights moving across the night sky. As tensions within the group rise, a terrifying force begins to seep into the house, forcing Kate to confront her darkest past and an otherworldly threat.
Written and directed by Peter Stylianou, whose 2024 vampire feature Drained marked him as an intriguing new voice in independent filmmaking,
THE NICE ONES brings together psychological horror and sci-fi, drawing inspiration from genre classics including The Thing and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Alongside Rae and Cooper, the ensemble cast includes Donna Preston (The Sandman, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Ian Whyte (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), Daniela Norman (Tiny Pretty Things), Ayvianna Snow (How to Kill Monsters), James Akka (The Sandman), Nick Lavelle (Red XII), Tom Kelsey (National Theatre Live: Dr. Strangelove) and Andrew Lyle-Pinnock (The Little Mermaid).
The film also marks the producing debut of actor Ayvianna Snow, who has launched her own production company, Snow Pictures, with THE NICE ONES as its first feature. Ayvianna produces the film alongside Peter Stylianou and Nick Lavelle.
Peter Stylianou said, "Instead of making darkness the source of fear, as so many horror films do, I wanted to explore light — and the darker, more disturbing, cult-like side of worshipping it. The Nice Ones is a mix of the Manson Family and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, exploring what happens when something that appears beautiful, pure and inviting becomes deeply sinister."
