BAFTA Award winning filmmakers Gregor Barclay and Colin Bell release the trailer for RIBBONS, their exciting Post-Apocalyptic horror-thriller.

Ribbons tells the story of a dinner party gone awry; first through the antagonistic actions of the host, and latterly through the intervention of a nuclear bomb, which detonates in the city beyond and necessitates the end of dinner and the guests' swift departure downstairs to the host's panic room / fallout shelter. 

Our host is revealed to be what's known as a doomsday-prepper -his subterranean bunker is equipped with everything that he and his wife need to survive the nuclear winter. Everything has gone according to his fastidious emergency plans – everything except the number of people now sharing the bunker with him. Perhaps there are ways he can thin the herd? It's for the good of humanity, of course...

Horror Channel to serve up Festive Frights this December...

Be prepared for an X-rated Xmas this December as Horror Channel serves up an horrific host of premieres, leading with the UK premiere of Xmas anthology A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY. Tales From The Crypt meets Silent Night Deadly Night as zombies elves, Xmas demons and William Shatner invade UK homes on Saturday 22nd of December.

There are also channel premieres for Michael Thelin’s unnerving and superbly performed chiller EMELIE, and the star-studied jungle nightmare ANACONDA, with Jon Voight, Owen Wilson, Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube and Eric Stoltz. From giant snakes we move to killer sharks and vampiric post-apocalyptic creatures – as the channel is giving seasonal first-showings to fearsome fantasy adventure SHARKNADO and blood-sucking survival thriller DAYLIGHT’S END, starring Lance Henriksen.

Standard Edition of 'NIGHT OF THE DEMON' coming from Indicator films

Due to unprecedented demand for the NIGHT OF THE DEMON LIMITED EDITION 2-Disc Blu-ray Box Set, Indicator are releasing a standard 2-disc edition on 26th November.

This version will not include the special packaging, double-sided poster or 80-page book, but it will carry over all alternative feature presentations and the incredible array of new and archival special features.

Based on M R James’ classic tale of terror, ‘Casting the Runes’, and adapted for the screen by regular Hitchcock collaborator Charles Bennett, Jacques Tourneur’s (Cat People, I Walked with a Zombie, Out of the Past) Night of the Demon is considered to be one of the seminal horror films of Twentieth-Century cinema.

Award-winning Filmmaker Emma Dark Releases Experimental Art Film PURGATORIC Starring Iconic Film Journalist and Artist Billy Chainsaw

PURGATORIC is an experimental art film from award-winning filmmaker Emma Dark (Salient Minus Ten, Seize the Night). Shot digitally it has been affected in post production to give it a Super 8mm look and feel. The film explores themes of death, sadness, uncertainty, and ultimately hope. PURGATORIC stars cult film and arts icon Billy Chainsaw (Strippers vs Werewolves, Cry Wolf), with music by London based band The Core (comprised of Pete McDonnell and Mick Corr).

Unlike Emma's festival short films "Salient Minus Ten" (2017) and "Seize the Night" (2015), PURGATORIC has been produced on minimal budget with a crew comprising of just Emma (responsible for screenplay, camera, editing, and direction), with Pete McDonnell and Mick Corr known collectively as "The Core" composing the film's haunting score, a behind the scenes photographer, and up-and-coming artist Joe K. Worrall providing the poster art.

Winner of the 2018 Starburst magazine’s Media City Film Festival 'Best Director Fantasy Award' and The Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival's 'Albert Pyun Inspiration Award' Director Emma Dark had this to say about PURGATORIC:

"Although my focus to date has been on larger scale projects I wanted to take some time in-between other ventures to experiment with a variety of concepts, themes and camera techniques. I've already released various other self shot creative pieces to the web but have generally kept these fairly low key to avoid detracting away from my festival short films (which take considerably more time, money and resources). However, I plan to create a range of creative and commercial pieces featuring named actors and public figures to show versatility and to carry that experience across to larger projects, with the end goal ultimately being a debut feature film. 

"I'd had the basic idea for PURGATORIC floating around in my head for a couple of years, and when Billy and The Core both expressed interest in being part of a future project it seemed like the right time to explore this idea. Everyone involved has put their all into PURGATORIC, and I think that shows in the end result. I do hope audiences like the film."

PURGATORIC recently received its world premiere at former Kerrang! and Bizarre magazine contributor Chainsaw's NOVA NIGHTS film club in Bloomsbury, London, preceded by a live performance art piece (also featuring Chainsaw and directed by Emma Dark) to an intimate audience of well-known industry professionals and film fans.
