Canadian '80s lost classic CURTAINS on US BD and DVD July 8th

John Vernon (DIRTY HARRY, CHAINED HEAT) and Samantha Eggar (THE BROOD, THE EXTERMINATOR) star in this horror classic from the golden age of the slasher genre.

 

A group of women gather for a weekend casting call at the secluded mansion of director Jonathan Stryker (Vernon). He’s searching for the perfect woman to play the role of the crazed character “Audra”, and these women are just dying for the chance to play her!

Stryker’s last star, Samantha Sherwood (Eggar), is so determined to get the part, she committed herself to an asylum to prepare for the role. Unfortunately for all, a crazed killer in a disgusting “hag” mask is viciously murdering everyone one by one. Who will survive the final curtain call?

Former "Dr Who" to star in new "Terminator" film!

Former "Dr Who" Matt Smith is to star in the new "Terminator" film opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger.

 

According to the BBC News website, Smith will play "a new character with a strong connection to John Connor".

 

Other stars announced include Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and Zero Dark Thirty actor Jason Clarke.

 

Smith, who has been replaced as the Doctor by Scots actor Peter Capaldi in the BBC hit drama will next be seen on the big screen in the film "Lost River", directed by Ryan Gosling.

 

He was seen earlier this year on stage in London in the musical stage adaptation of "American Psycho".

 

The Terminator franchise was launched in 1984 with Schwarzenegger as the title character, a cyborg sent back through time to kill the unborn leader of the human resistance in the war against machines.

 

The film, directed by James Cameron, has since spawned three subsequent films, which have earned more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

This fifth "Terminator" film is due to be released in July 2015, and is being directed by "Thor" filmmaker Alan Taylor.

Seventeen years on, and the devoted parents of teenager Michael are at their wits’ end. Their son lies in a hospital bed, his body wracked by a mysterious illness. With doctors unable to offer any diagnosis, Michael’s desperate parents are forced to seek out the answer themselves – by digging up traumatic past events and confronting the true nature of their son’s conception.

 

The Beast Within stands apart from other creature features due to its decidedly grim tone – the scenes in which the monster violates his victims proved too strong for some critics – and standout transformation sequence to rival the likes of An American Werewolf in London and The Howling. Warner release new "Edge of Tomorow" posters

Warner Bros have just unveiled 3 new posters for their upcoming  action, adventure: "EDGE OF TOMORROW", which is released to UK cinemas and IMAX on May 30.

 

 

“Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.
