Mayhem Film Festival announce dates for 2025 edition

Mayhem Film Festival will return to Broadway, Nottingham on 16-19 October 2025 to showcase the best in international horror, sci-fi and cult cinema. Following on from last year’s 20th edition that saw the UK Premieres of Michael Duignan’s The Paragon, and Luis Prieto’s Last Stop Rocafort St, the team is excited to be back to present the best in genre cinema.

Mayhem Co-Director Steven Sheil says, “2025 sees Mayhem moving into its third decade of bringing the best of international genre cinema to audiences in Nottingham and from beyond, and we’re really looking forward to partnering with Broadway once again to put on another selection of the scary, the weird and the what-the-hell-did-I-just-watch this year.”

Stewart Terry, Broadway’s Director of Marketing and Communications, is also looking forward to Mayhem’s 21st edition. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Mayhem weekend is one of our annual highlights, and we can’t wait to welcome the UK’s finest horror fans back to Broadway Cinema. We’re confident the Mayhem team has an incredible line-up of new films from around the world, and we’re proud to be hosting them once again.”

Plans are already underway, and the team is on the lookout for titles from around the world to join this year’s line-up. Additionally, Mayhem will be welcoming short film submissions for its ever-popular Short Film Showcase from Friday 2nd May via FilmFreeway. Mayhem Film Festival has also hosted special events such as screenings with specially commissioned live scores from 8MM Orchestra, two exclusive live stage readings of unmade Hammer Films screenplays, The Unquenchable Thirst of Dracula in 2015 and Zeppelin V. Pterodactyls in 2017, and a live performance of Tales of HP Lovecraft by The Duke St Workshop featuring British actor Laurence R. Harvey.
