Adapted from his short film Coming of Age, Ben Goodger’s (Next Exit) feature debut is told entirely without dialogue, creating a haunting atmosphere to explore the fine line between animal and human.
Following its acclaimed premiere at FrightFest, Year 10 is set to make its UK digital debut this August courtesy of Reel2Reel Films.
Society has collapsed; survival is everything. Those who remain must scavenge and hunt in the quiet wastelands of the country, while packs of wild dogs roam hungry and feral.
When a young man (Toby Goodger) witnesses his father’s (Duncan Lacroix – Outlander, Outlaw King) brutal murder by a blood thirsty gang of cannibals, he sets off on a gruelling revenge fuelled journey. To make matters worse, the tribe has stolen their remaining medical supplies, leaving his ailing girlfriend (Hannah Khalique-Brown – Barbie, Dune: Prophecy), knocking on death’s door suffering from an infected wound.
Hellbent on avenging his father’s death and saving his love, the young man must battle treacherous elements and vicious wild animals while hunting down the carnivorous killers to retrieve the medication.
Alone and surrounded by deadly threats from all sides of the apocalyptic wasteland, even the strongest of survivors will be tested by the gruelling terrors of YEAR 10.
