THE BONE KEEPER - A Review

BONE KEEPER is the latest horror from film maker Howard J Ford (Escape, Lockdown Hauntings, Co-Director – The Dead), which is released to Digital outlets this month from Plaion Pictures

Set somewhere in the wilds of Scotland, a group of explorers head into a remote cave system, looking for evidence of a creature known as the “Bone Keeper” which local legend says is lurking somewhere within.

Accompanied by a rather annoying social media “influencer”, who has tagged along hoping to bag some content for her various channels, they rather foolishly ignore warnings from the locals to steer clear of the place and head deep inside.

Of course, it's never a wise idea to ignore local legends in a horror film, and so, shortly after heading into the caves, they subsequently find themselves being picked off at random by something rather large, slimey, with many tentacles and dying in various horrible, not to mention gory, ways.

With their numbers dwindling, the rest have to find a way of getting back out before it kills them all, but soon find themselves hopelessly lost in the nightmarish labyrinth of tunnels.

Starring Sarah Alexandra Marks (Escape, Punch, Bogieville) and also featuring acting legend John Rhyss Davis (Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones franchise)
BONE KEEPER is your good old fashioned “monster movie”, which plays like a kind of bizarre mash-up of The Descent and The Thing (although, it rather reminded me of the old Alien knock off “Alien: Sulla Terra”).

If you enjoy low-budget monster movies, or you're a fan of the Director's other films, then this one is a must see. I personally, really enjoyed this, particularly the action packed finale, and it apparently went down a storm at FrightFest glasgow. The film is released to Digital outlets this month, so be sure to check it out.

Horror Series SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN - On Netflix, 26th March

Coming to Netflix this month, SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN is an atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials. That’s not a spoiler - just read the title.

If Carrie is horror’s version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary’s Baby is the horrific version of a woman becoming a mother, SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN is horror’s take on a woman becoming a wife.

Rachel (Camila Morrone) is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky (Adam DiMarco), she embarks on a road trip to his family's vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams. Which really would be so lovely, except... prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can't shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen.

Her foreboding doubts, coupled with a series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question: What makes two people soulmates? And worse — what could be scarier than lifelong commitment to the wrong person?

SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN will launch on Netflix on 26th March

Beware THE MONSTER WITHIN – a disturbing new creature feature from Dino Longo Sabanovic set to arrive on UK Digital 2 March, courtesy of Seven Tales.

Recluse Garrett inherits his family’s 100-acre farm, in a quiet American town, but beneath the land lies an ancient, blood-thirsty entity whose dark legacy is passed down from generation to generation. Fuelled by an obsessive need to fulfil his familial duty to feed the creature, Garrett lures young women and traps them in the basement, ready for the insatiable beast to feast on.

Wracked with guilt at the savage he has become, Garrett starts to spiral, seeking out the help of a therapist who grows increasing concerned for her tormented patient and his strange deep connection to the farm. When suspicions are raised, a private investigator is called in to try and solve the mystery of what’s hidden below the earth. Will Garrett succumb to the monster within, or can he fight his inner demons to end the killing once and for all?

Face THE MONSTER WITHIN if you dare for a terrifying gore-filled psychological nightmare.

Clive Barker's NIGHTBREED - On Limited Edition 4K UHD, from Arrow

From the mind of writer/director Clive Barker – the macabre visionary responsible for Hellraiser and Candyman – comes NIGHTBREED, a nightmare-induced fantasy set in a world like nothing you’ve ever experienced before… one which will leave you questioning who the real monsters are.

By night, Aaron Boone (Craig Sheffer - Teen Wolf) dreams of Midian, a hidden subterranean world where monsters have created a haven from humanity.

Under pressure from his girlfriend Lori (Anne Bobby - Born on the Fourth of July), he attends psychotherapy sessions, unaware that his shrink, Dr Decker (Videodrome director David Cronenberg), is setting him up to take the fall for a series of violent murders.

Convinced he no longer belongs in the human world, Boone goes in search of Midian – not realising that the real killer has plans for both him and the colourful cast of outsiders who call it home…

The victim of studio interference and an unrepresentative marketing campaign, NIGHTBREED was poorly received by critics on its initial release and failed to ignite the box office, but has since undergone a radical reappraisal.

Arrow Films is proud to present two versions of this depraved cult classic: the studio-approved theatrical cut and the reconstructed, reinvigorated director’s cut, for the ultimate nightmarish viewing experience.

Psychological thriller PAST LIFE - Gets Limited Cinema Release

Step into the shadowy corridors of dark and chilling new psychological thriller PAST LIFE, directed by Grimmfest’s Simeon Halligan, that boasts an all-star cast including Aneurin Barnard (Peaky Blinders, Dunkirk, Time), Jeremy Piven (Mr Selfridge, Entourage), pop sensation Pixie Lott (Fred: The Movie, Christmas Karma), Nicholas Farrell (The Iron Lady, The Count of Monte Cristo, Bodies) and Tim McInnerny (Game of Thrones, Harlots, Gladiator II, Blackadder).

This smart and enthralling new feature brings the fear with its twisted timelines and heightened paranoia, as crimes from the past are reawakened when a traumatised journalist crosses paths with a celebrity hypnotist. Set and shot in Manchester, the film gets a limited theatrical release on 20 March 2026 and will debut on digital on 6 April 2026 courtesy of Miracle Media.

PAST LIFE pulls us headlong into the life of renowned war reporter Jason (Barnard), scarred by his years covering conflict in the Middle East, although he attempts to live as normal a life, he is still damaged by the horrors he’s experienced. When his wife, Claira (Lott), suggests an evening of fun at a late-night show, Jason reluctantly obliges. Once there, he dismisses hypnosis as a con – that is until famous hypnotist Tim (Piven), who claims he can send you into visions of a past life, snaps his fingers and Jason experiences the world through the eyes of a 1980s serial killer.

Plagued by vivid memories of extreme violence he can’t explain, Jason struggles to distinguish his own memories from something far more disturbing. Deeply concerned, Claira urges him to see the hypnotist again, hoping another session will erase the increasingly realistic visions. Instead, the session exposes even more horrifying details, leaving Jason anxious, unbalanced and dangerously obsessed.

With the help of retired journalist Elliot Reed (Farrell), and further hypnosis sessions to find clues, the trail leads to a man seemingly connected to the victims, but who is he and how does he fit with the crimes? As Jason’s grip on reality falters and Claira starts to fear his PTSD will trigger a breakdown, the investigation takes a deadly turn when a new victim is murdered.

Realising a killer has been reawakened, Jason must use hypnosis to uncover the truth and protect those closest to him.

Delve into PAST LIFE, for a fear filled and disturbing descent into the dark recesses of a fragmented mind where the lines between reality and illusion have fatal consequences.

Goredrome Pictures expands its extreme horror vision through Outronox

Operating for years within the most uncompromising areas of underground horror cinema, Goredrome Pictures has built its identity around extreme films, controversial works, and productions created specifically for adult audiences seeking experiences beyond conventional genre boundaries. That trajectory now intensifies through the development of the Outronox extreme cinema platform, a new independent structure designed to support cult cinema, physical media, and dark cultural projects.

Rather than representing a shift in direction, Outronox strengthens the foundation behind the label’s activities, providing a dedicated environment where cinema, music, and visual aesthetics converge under a shared dark philosophy rooted in disturbing imagery, brutality, and transgressive themes. Collector-focused releases remain central to this ecosystem, including limited mediabooks, Blu-ray editions, and exclusive merchandise created for a niche audience deeply connected to extreme cinema and dark culture.

Within this expanded framework, Goredrome Pictures continues to operate as the driving force behind the release of extreme horror titles, underground productions, and uncompromising films that rarely find space within traditional industry channels. Explicit content, controversial subject matter, and boundary-pushing storytelling remain defining elements of the label’s catalogue.

For longtime followers and collectors, the core philosophy remains unchanged: obsessive attention to detail, carefully produced limited editions, and a fiercely independent approach that deliberately distances itself from mainstream market expectations. The evolution lies not in altering the creative identity, but in strengthening the infrastructure supporting it.

While physical media remains central, Outronox is intended to develop into a broader cultural environment over time, incorporating exclusive content, original productions, and collaborations with filmmakers and artists connected to the international horror and extreme scene.

To mark the beginning of this new phase, a newly unveiled official poster (recently revealed across the label’s social media channels) will be included free of charge with all orders shipped starting today.

Goredrome Pictures continues moving forward without compromise, maintaining its radical identity while expanding the platform that supports its present and future projects.
