One of the most acclaimed found-footage horror films of the modern era is finally coming to Blu-ray in the UK as Last Slate Video presents Stephen Cognetti's HELL HOUSE LLC in a feature-packed Limited Edition.

 

In 2009, tragedy struck during the opening night of Hell House, a Halloween haunted attraction inside the abandoned Abaddon Hotel. Fifteen guests and staff lost their lives in what authorities dismissed as a catastrophic malfunction. The true events of that night have remained a mystery ever since.

 

Years later, an investigative documentary team uncovers long-lost footage captured by the Hell House crew in the days leading up to the disaster. As they piece together the final preparations for the attraction, a series of increasingly disturbing incidents begins to emerge. Strange figures appear where they shouldn't, props seem to move on their own, and an overwhelming sense of dread settles over the hotel. But with opening night fast approaching, the team presses on, unaware of the unimaginable horror awaiting them.

Written and directed by Stephen Cognetti, HELL HOUSE LLC has earned its place as one of the most acclaimed found-footage horror films of its era. A masterclass in slow-burning suspense and creeping atmosphere, the film has grown into a modern cult favourite with an international following.

AN ORIGINAL VISION -- 44 YEARS LATER

The newly commissioned alternative artwork by Bayarmagnai Avirmed has a particularly special connection to the history of THE HOUSE ON SORORITY ROW. 

The artwork is based on writer/director Mark Rosman's original poster concept for the film from 1982. Rosman's idea was ultimately nixed by the studio and never realised as the film's theatrical poster.

Now, 44 years later, Last Slate Video has commissioned Bayarmagnai Avirmed to finally bring Rosman's original concept to life, with the resulting artwork appearing on the reversible sleeve of this new Collector's Edition.

The artwork accompanies the film's original artwork on the release, giving collectors the choice of how they display the edition.

This is the most complete version UK and US audiences will have seen –it’s the cut the censors tried to bury, blood, gore and all.

In DRACULA, Christopher Lee is partnered on screen for the second time with acting legend Peter Cushing (The Curse of Frankenstein) - whose energetic, intelligent and physically capable portrayal of Van Helsing was a major departure from the older, more scholarly stereotype, as well as a memorable performance by Michael Gough (Crucible of Horror) as Arthur Holmwood, whose sister and wife fall victim to the evil king of the undead.

Written by Jimmy Sangster, directed by Fisher, scored by James Bernard, with production design by Bernard Robinson, and effects and matte paintings by Les Bowie, Dracula is a convergence of Hammer’s key creative talents, cementing the studio’s iconic gothic style. 

The DRACULA: LIMITED COLLECTORS EDITION 4K UHD and BD BOX-SET boasts over 15 hours of exclusive extra features, one of which is the DRACULA workprint. No other Hammer workprints are known to exist so this is a unique Hammer artefact. This rough, work-in-progress version of the film was the one assembled during post-production and is almost certainly the element that went back and forth between Hammer and the BBFC as they haggled over cuts.

- New essay Victim of His Imagination: written in the early 1970s, this Hammer script treatment about Dracula creator Bram Stoker remained unfilmed – until now. Adapted by actor/writer James Swanton, this dramatised reading channels the blood-and-thunder melodrama of a Henry Irving performance, bringing to life a tantalising what-if from Hammer’s archive.
- New commentaries for each version of the film and new programmes on Terence Fisher as auteur, interviews with Janina Faye and Paul Cole (sole surviving actors from the film), Bram Stoker, the female characters of Dracula, Dracula censorship, Syd Pearson model-maker, 8mm versions and much, much more – approximately fifteen hours of additional content, most of it brand-new to this release.

AD UMBRAS: First Details and Images from Antony Coia's Cosmic Horror

 

 

The first details and images from AD UMBRAS have been revealed. The short film marks the directorial debut of Antony Coia, composer and founder of  TetroVideo, Goredrome Pictures and Outronox.

Production on AD UMBRAS officially began on August 5, 2026, and is currently underway, with post-production scheduled to begin in September 2026.

The film blends cosmic horror with the atmosphere of Italian Gothic cinema, Lovecraftian horror, and the hallucinatory cosmic visions associated with the cinema of Panos Cosmatos. The story takes place entirely within a cemetery, creating a dark, oppressive, and otherworldly atmosphere, accompanied by a strong dose of gore and a massive presence of zombies, firmly in keeping with the spirit of old-school horror.

The original score, composed by Coia himself, will follow the same direction and will be created using analog instruments, primarily large analog synthesizers and electric guitars, drawing on the tradition of synth-driven horror soundtracks associated with filmmakers and composers such as John Carpenter.

Speaking about the project, Coia said: “I'm doing everything I can to make AD UMBRAS a directorial debut I can truly be proud of, and so far I'm extremely satisfied with the results. The atmosphere we're creating is absolutely insane, dark, oppressive, and deeply cinematic, and I believe old-school horror fans are going to love it”.

Thanks to the development of OTX.LAB's internal production system, which is now capable of delivering a high level of quality and reliability, AD UMBRAS is being developed as a fully fledged film production, with visual standards in line with professional productions.

The film is being created entirely through artificial intelligence using a fully local production system based on privately managed hardware and proprietary resources dedicated to the project. The entire process takes place without relying on data centers, external AI services, or third-party cloud platforms.

AI serves solely as a filmmaking tool, while every creative and production aspect (from the screenplay and direction to the visual choices, editing, sound design, and music) remains under direct human control.

A crowdfunding campaign is also planned for those who would like to support and contribute to the production of AD UMBRAS.

40th anniversary 4K UHD release of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS - Special Collectors Edition

To celebrate the film’s upcoming 40th anniversary LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, directed by visionary Frank Oz, will be available for purchase on 4K UHD Blu-ray, SteelBook and Collector’s Edition on October 19. The newly remastered film will include both the Theatrical and Director’s Cuts, as well as new bonus content featuring cast and filmmakers reflecting on the making of Little Shop of Horrors 40 years later.

In a small Dutch village in the Dark Ages, Frieda (Anneke Sluiters) attempts to be a good wife, contributing to her community, saying her prayers, focusing on becoming a mother and doing what is expected of her.

But after a traumatic encounter with one of the villagers in the woods, a presence saves Frieda’s life, latching itself onto her and throwing her belief system into question. Returning from the woods unscathed, her community becomes suspicious that it was not God who brought her back safely, but a dark force cloaked in fog that lurks beyond the forest.
