SLAUGHTERHOUSE RULEZ - UK BD review.

Animal House meets Tremors at a British Boarding school in SLAUGHTERHOUSE RULEZ, which is is released to UK DVD and BD this month.

Don Wallace (Finn Cole - TV's Peaky Blinders), is the new kid at an exclusive private school, the innapropriately titled Slaughterhouse, named after it's founder, the first Earl of Slaughter. But when a controversial fracking site unleashes a hoard of pre-historic underground monsters into the school grounds, the school's name may soon take on a very litteral meaning.

For Finn and his new friends, Willoughby (Asa Butterfield - TV's Sex Education), Clemsie (Hermione Corfield - Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) and Kay (Isabella Laughland - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) it seems that fitting in with the rest of the rejects and avoiding the overbearing sixth formers may be the least of their problems, as the carnivourous creatures proceed to run amok, devouring everything in sight in a series of hilariously gory scenes.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) turn up in a couple of supporting roles, along with Michael Sheen (Underworld).

If you like horror comedies, you should love this, which proves to be funny and gory in equal measures. Slaughterhouse Rulez is already available Digitally and is released to DVD and BD from March 11th.

No supplemental material was included on the review disc I was sent.
