New Manchester horror film festival TRIPLE SIX opens for submissions

As of September 1st, 2016, submissions are now OPEN for the Triple Six Film Festival in Manchester, UK!

The event is the brainchild of Andy Deen (owner of UK Horror Scene) and Chris Barnes (owner of The Slaughtered Bird), who decided there was a need and a passion for a new horror film festival in Northern England.

After months of planning they have partnered up with the AMC Cinema in Manchester and their debut festival will be on May 27th & 28th, 2017, over the bank holiday weekend!

Set in the iconic Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester, AMC is a 16-screen, state of the art cinema complex and 2 of the leading UK horror sites will be taking over 1 of the screens for 2 days to showcase the best in independent horror on the big screen!

Triple Six aims to highlight the amazing talent across the horror genre and will be showing 9 feature films and 9 short films. On top of that there will be special guests, Q&As, an after-festival party and much more.

Submissions are open exclusively through FilmFreeway and this will run until March 1st, 2017. There will be awards for Best Short Film, Best Feature Director, Best Feature Film and Audience Choice Best Feature Film!

Andy and Chris want to make Triple Six an interactive experience where fans and filmmakers mix in a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. They also aim to make the event affordable and accessible to all - there will be no early bird tickets, just permanently cheap weekend, day and individual film prices!

Tickets will go on sale on April 1st, 2017, via the festival website http://www.TripleSixFest.com.
