MEMBERS CLUB - A Review

Four middle aged male strippers, long past their prime, are preparing to pack things up, following a string of disastrous performances, resulting in a lack of bookings.

However, when they get an invited to do a very special performance at a decrepit social club out in the countryside, offering them four times the going rate, things seem too good to be true.

But upon arrival, they discover gig was just a ruse to lure them there. And the coven of witches within, want their bodies for something far more diabolical than just dancing.

Not overly keen on being offered up as sacrifices to some ancient old witch, the group have to try and find a way to escape with all their parts intact. But the witches aren't playing “ball”...

A very silly, not to mention very British comedy horror, filled with slapstick gore and some hilariously inappropriate humour, that comes across as a bizarre cross between “The Full Monty” and “Black Sunday” (and yes, the film is that weird in places).

The film was obviously very low budget, but makes up for it with its sheer raucousness. I was also surprised to see cult genre regular Steve Oram (Sightseers) and character actor Alan Ford (Lock Stock, Cockneys Vs Zombies) appearing in guest roles, not to mention singer Peter Andre, in what is undoubtedly his most outrageous role to date.

So, if you like low budget, British comedy-horrors, you should definitely give this one a watch.
