KRAMPUS Comes Early with New Fright-Rags Collection

Fright-Rags is the one-stop shop for the horror fan on your holiday list this year! The company is releasing new apparel and merchandise from genre movies leading up to Christmas.

The festivities kick off today with the release of the all-new Krampus collection. It includes tees designed by Justin Osbourn and Chogrin as well as custom-knit crew socks. In addition to unisex and girls shirts, Osbourn's artwork is also available on zip-up hoodies.

The holiday cheer continues this Saturday, December 10th, with two surprise shirts from classic '80s Christmas films available exclusively for 24 hours. Horror lounge pants will follow on December 13th. The 15th will see the release of stocking stuffer posters and a special Secret Santa Edition of the popular "Tee of Mystery;" it features two shirts for $20, one of which has never been released before.

The Krampus collection is on sale now at Fright-Rags.com. All domestic orders placed by December 18 are guaranteed to arrive by Christmas.

BLAIR WITCH - Available on UK Digital and Disc this January.

Visionary director Adam Wingard unleashed one of the cinematic surprises of 2016, when his next opus, The Woods turned out to be an utterly terrifying return to the world of the BLAIR WITCH, which comes to coming to UK digital platforms and in UK Disc this January.

Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film follows a group of college students who venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of James' sister, which many people believe is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. 

At first the group is hopeful, especially when a young local couple offer to act as guides through the dark and winding woods. However, as the endless night wears on, the group is visited by a menacing presence. Slowly, they begin to realize the legend of the Blair Witch is all too real and more sinister than they could have imagined.

Expanding on the mythology created in the iconic The Blair Witch Project, BLAIR WITCH is at once an exercise in slow-burning tension and a heart-pounding study in terror that further proves Wingard, responsible for the near-perfect slasher pic You’re Next and the joyous tribute to John Carpenter that was The Guest, really is modern horror cinema’s saviour.

Fear the Walking Dead – The Complete Second Series - UK DVD review

Unless you subscribe to BT Vision, you may have missed Series 2 of the critically acclaimed Fear the Walking Dead, the sister show to the hugely popular The Walking Dead series.

Well the good news is that Series 2 hits UK DVD and BD this month courtesy of Entertainment One, who were very kind to send me a review copy to take a look at.

Picking up from the end of Series 1, Travis (Cliff Curtiss) his partner Madison (Kim Dickins) and their respective children, along with the other survivors, head on out to Victor Strand’s (Colman Dominigo) boat, just as the military bomb the mainland.

However, it seems things may not be any safer at sea, as they encounter zombies in the shallows and floating on the water, as well as ruthless marauders, looking at plundering any boats that come their way, as they head South.

But even if they do reach their intended destination unscathed, it may not be the safe haven they hoped for and they discover you have to make some very brutal decisions if you want to survive in this new world.

Fear the Walking Dead – Series 2 is released in both a BD and DVD box set version, which contain all 12 episodes from Series 2 spread across 4 discs.

Extras wise, disc 4 contains a selection of “making of” features for each episode, showing the filming locations, special effects and interviews with the cast and crew.

THE SNARE - in US cinemas and on VOD January

Writer-director C.A Cooper’s unnerving British horror-thriller "The Snare" comes to selected US cinemas and on VOD this January from Uncork’d Entertainment.

Three friends head to the seafront for a drunken weekend, only to be imprisoned on the top floor of their holiday apartment by a malevolent paranormal force.

Triple Six Horror Fest announce first special guest

The Triple Six Horror Film Festival is proud to announce that their first special guest will be the groundbreaking director Richard Stanley who will be with them for the entire weekend. PLUS they will be showing his debut feature Hardware (1990) on 35mm followed by a full Q&A with Richard.

Hardware is a totally unique, visually stunning feature that needs to be seen on the big screen. Aesthetically compared to Gilliam & Jodorowsky and with a real 1990's man vs machine mentality that summed up the age when technology was becoming an essential part of life not a luxury, along with a stunning industrial score,  Hardware is a mix of horror, sci-fi and much more. Rarely seen on the big screen ,especially in 35mm, this will be an amazing one-off experience !!

Richard has kindly agreed to be at Triple Six throughout the entire weekend , and will be on hand to sign items , have pictures and indeed just chat with horror fans that attend. He will also be part of a Q&A after the Hardware screening where he talk about Hardware and his career in general, this is something that will be a one-off and not to be missed as Richard rarely leaves his isolated location in France .

Triple Six is a new UK horror film festival based at the AMC cinema in Manchester and will be over May 27th & May 28th 2017. AMC is a state-of-art cinema complex in the centre of Manchester and Triple Six will be based in their Screen 3 which has a wonderful fully functioning 35mm projector. On top of Hardware Triple Six will be showing seven more 'new' horror features and 8 'new' horror shorts , for a weekend of horror on the BIG SCREEN.

Charles Band's HEAD OF THE FAMILY hits US BD

Christmas has come early for fans of Full Moon Entertainment, as Charles Band's 1996 horror romp HEAD OF THE FAMILY arrives on Blu-Ray on December 20.

One of Full Moon's more unique features, HEAD OF THE FAMILY stars Blake Adams, Jacqueline Lovell, J.W. Perra, Bob Schott and Alexandria Quinn in a horror comedy about the head of the family who is literally that - a giant head on a tiny body!

Lance and Loretta are having a torrid affair behind her husband Howard's back. The problem is that Howard is brutal thug who is bound to catch the cheating pair sooner or later. 

To solve this problem, the lovers hatch a plan involving the Stackpoole family: a collection of misshapen freaks who waylay unsuspecting travellers and dissect them in gruesome experiments. Unfortunately, things don't go quite according to plan.
